An Act to amend the Electoral Act 2022 to require the Independent National Electoral Commission to electronically transmit polling unit results from the Bimodal Voter Accreditation System directly to the INEC Result Viewing Portal in real time. Section 60 of the Principal Act is amended by deleting the words 'may, where practicable' and substituting 'shall, in all circumstances'. Section 64 is amended to provide that any collation of results that conflicts with the electronically transmitted polling unit results shall be void.
The Commission shall publish the source code and audit logs of the transmission system to a designated committee of the National Assembly within 30 days of every general election.
